“I’ve been described as the Queen of Reinvention with the work that I do with my Reinvented Today Brand. Most people know me as the Author, the event curator, and the publicist who “gets stuff out there” through my communications consultancy, Narratives PR. I’m just a woman with big dreams, who doesn’t believe I should conform to what society dictates for me unless I’m in agreement. I do however believe that the African story needs to be told through the eyes of its people, experiences across its vast landscapes and those moments that illustrate the vibrancy of our collective cultures.
Travel Essence Magazine is an amalgamation of all the things that have allowed me to flourish over the past few years – my passion for creative writing and opinion sharing, a growing love for travel and meeting new people from different cultures and of course, inspiration from the experts. I suppose Travel Essence Magazine was always in the making, and now functions as my contributions to Africa’s tourism industry which I’m so incredibly passionate about. A combined 15 year career in Consumer PR, hospitality and destination marketing in the United States, across Southern Africa and now the Middle East, with some incredible people cheering me on, has brought us here – and for that, I am thankful.

“Land, Sea, Bush are three words to describe what I believe to be an illustrious career as a Hotelier, Chef, Creative and Author. I’m Zimbabwean and currently based in Botswana. I’m a seasoned professional, whose 20 years’ experience have seen me take on life-changing roles on my home turf, across the rest of Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States.
After completing my studies at the then Hotel School in Bulawayo, I left for the United Kingdom – landing my first post College job at the Holiday Inn in Plymouth. I later moved closer to family in Surrey as a Leisure Centre Assistant before joining Celebrity Cruises as a Professional Waitress on their vessel –“The Mercury.” After exploring Mexico and Alaska, I decided to return home to help revive family restaurants in Zimbabwe’s capital – Harare.
A move to the Victoria Falls is where I truly believe I came into my own professionally, accepting new challenges in hospitality sector in the corporate spheres of the largest Hotel Groups in the country, including a stint at one of Southern Africa’s finest properties.
I live for building people, building departments and building business. I believe in making a solid impact wherever I am and with whomever I interaction with’. Currently in Safaris in Botswana, my passion lies in Guest Experience, everything food, growing people, Revenue Development – and of course, travel and writing!
Content Director – Abu Dhabi, UAE
“I am from Zimbabwe, currently working and living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). I am a freelance writer, content creator and digital marketer, among other things; finding inspiration from creating content for my blog - She Network - which is a female focused blog that celebrates African women who are serving their communities exceptionally while putting Africa on the map.
I have been writing since I was a little girl. Really and truly, I’ve always loved writing a good story. I guess I can credit my ‘overactive imagination’ as one of my primary school teachers described, for my career in writing, especially now that I get to put in a few hours in promoting small businesses through content generation and food blogging.
The Travel Essence Magazine evolving story with feels like a call with destiny. It’s as if I’ve found a missing piece to my puzzle. Life makes sense when find your passion and purpose and for me – having the opportunity to share good content, travel, tap into inspiration from experts who are trailblazing in the tourism and hospitality – is ticking so many boxes! I look forward to the bring Africa to the Middle East through vibrant story-telling and collaborating with some incredible content creators.
